How to skip short links and reach the real URL

By Link Skipper·Aug 6, 2026

The countdown, ad wall and 'get link' buttons you see after clicking a short link exist to delay you from the real destination. Skipping a short link means clearing those steps for you and landing directly on the destination. Here is the fastest, safest way, on any device.

Why short links make you wait

A link shortener really just maps a short code to a longer address, so the redirect itself is instant. The countdown, banner ads and 'continue' buttons are layered on top of that redirect because the shortener earns money for every second it keeps you on the page and every ad it shows.

So there is no technical reason for the wait; it is purely about revenue. The real link is there from the start, the ad wall only delays it. Skipping a short link simply removes that delay.

The fastest way to skip a short link

The most practical method is to paste the shortened link into a resolver. It skips the ads and the wait for you and returns only the real address, no clicking through pages, nothing to solve.

That address is identical to what you would reach by navigating manually; the only difference is that you never see the ads or the wait. On a light shortener the whole thing takes a second or two; a heavier ad wall takes a little longer.

Three ways: web, Telegram and API

There are three ways to skip a short link with Link Skipper. On the website you paste the link into the box and resolve it. In the Telegram bot you send the link as a message and the bot replies with the real address. If you are building an app, a single REST call lets you POST the link and get the destination back as JSON.

All three use the same resolver, so the result is the same everywhere. For a one-off link the web or the bot is easiest; for batch work or automation the API is the right choice.

Step by step

First copy the shortened link, for example an ouo.io, linkvertise, exe.io or gplinks URL. Then paste it into the resolve box on the site and press 'Resolve'.

Within a few seconds the real address appears in front of you, ready to open or copy. The live progress on screen shows you that the steps are being cleared, even behind a heavy ad wall.

Is it safe? No extension or script needed

Many 'bypass' tools ask you to install a browser extension or run a script; that is where the real risk lies, because those extensions can read every page you visit. A safe resolver needs none of that.

Link Skipper resolves the link on the server, in an isolated environment. Nothing runs in your browser, nothing is installed on your device, and you are shown only the final address. You see where you are going before you open it.

If a link will not open

Some short links are dead: the publisher deleted them, or the destination no longer exists. In that case there is nothing to skip to, and a resolver will tell you the link is gone rather than sending you somewhere wrong.

When a resolve cannot be completed you are not charged, so trying a link never costs you anything.

Which shorteners are supported

A wide list is supported, from standard shorteners to heavy ad walls: ouo.io, linkvertise, exe.io, gplinks, adfoc.us and more. The list is kept up to date and published to the site automatically.

You can see which sites are supported on the supported sites page. Paste a link and see the difference yourself.
